We would like to introduce you to our schedule of Handicap Seminars for the 2012 season. As you may already know from prior correspondence, the RCGA/Golf Canada is requiring member clubs to certify at least one Handicap Official, and have a Handicap Committee in place. We are hosting several Handicap Certification seminars this season in order to continue our education drive and to help member clubs, members, and general public achieve certification. These seminars are a more in-depth look into Handicapping and Course Rating and will give attendees a thorough knowledge of the RCGA Handicap and Course Rating system.

The Handicap Seminars are beneficial for Club Members, Handicap Committee members, Golf Professionals, Superintendents, General Managers, and others interested in learning more about Handicapping in general. These seminars last half a day, and include a copy of the RCGA Handicap System Manual, as well as other relevant Handicap topics and materials. The registration fee is $35 which will cover room rental, food/beverage and course materials distributed. The seminars are listed on the attached registration form with locations/dates/times.

Area clubs will receive notice via mail/email closer to those dates/locations. Extra copies of the registration form and additional information is available at www.gao.ca under the membership category (seminars and workshops). Please pass this information on to all members who you think would be interested in attending.

To attend one of these Handicap seminars, please complete the attached form, select a seminar, and please return the registration form prior to your chosen seminar deadline. The seminars are limited to a maximum of 40 attendees and spots will be filled on a first come first served basis. Prior to the seminar you will notification (at the address/email you disclose while registering) with agenda and directions.
